Michael obtained his law degree at Queen’s University in Kingston. Before law school, he completed his Honours Bachelor in Conflict Studies and Human Rights at the University of Ottawa, graduating cum laude.
Michael developed his advocacy skills throughout law school. He competed in a variety of mooting competitions and was President of the Queen’s Law Litigation Society. Michael also worked at the Queen’s Law Clinics, representing clients on a variety of litigation files. He became effective at tailoring strategies specific to each of his clients’ unique goals. Michael received four awards recognizing his success and contribution at the Clinics.
Michael remained with the Clinics during Articling, where he continued to acquire trial experience. He also provided legal advice to small businesses and start-ups.
Michael’s practice primarily focuses on civil litigation. He has experience advocating before a number of administrative Boards and Tribunals, and he has appeared before the Small Claims Court and Ontario Court of Justice.
